Shangrila NOT the hotel!

Sorry about the lack of post because of the constant travelling this past month and the late nights chilling out.

Anyway, this is one place I have always dream of going because I always thought they build a series of Shangrila hotels thus giving it its' name and an accolade of being an "UNESCO world heritage site"!

I thought what a sight of hotels that can actually take my Dickosauraus away but that was 3 years ago. I'm much smarter now! -.-

Now Shangrila is really beautiful l l l l, no kidding...

I love mirror image

Cobbled streets, every bit like Europe...

I told you so, didn't I??!?!?!!?!?!
The only downside was at that time(Dec 12th-14th), it was -8 degrees and my balls totally froze with no life on its own, and because of the cold, it freezes the hot water which was suppose to be available!!
What says you if you were like me who cannot bathe for 7 days!!
What an experience and what an adventure!
Goddddddddddddddddd, no watermark for my these photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bantus Capoeira Batizado 2008!

WARNING: This is going to be a longggggggggg post!

For the benefit of those whom isn't sure what is Batizado, it is a so call "grading" which is held every year for all Capoeira schools around the world, it's just a matter of when for each school. It is the time where new Capoeira learners officially becomes a Capoeirista and those with a corda (belt) gets promoted to the next level.

Okay, what makes Capoeira so special is that you can only take part in Batizado once a year which means you're going to be with your corda for 1 full year, unlike say Taekwando where you can take your grading 4 times a year! -.-

Of course, as you advance to a new level, the level and repertoire of skills must be better and one must learn how to sing and play the instruments. Without the instruments, there is no Capoeira.

Bantus Capoeira, Singapore

This is the 3rd Batizado in Singapore by Bantus Capoeira and what an event it was! My very first Batizado after a gruelling 1 year training. The whole workshop where we train at YMCA under the different instuctors from Brazil, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore lasted 3 well-worth-it days.

Enough words, let the pictures do the talking!!!!!!!

He wasn't crazy, he was INDESCRIBABLE!!! Apprently, the moves he executed was out of this world and we could only clap our hands!! Imagine that!
ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ):

OUR FIRST CORDA!!! (:

I love this!

Over here, I would like to thank Graduado Claudinho for his training and this guy seems to know our school better than us so much that it's starting to get ridiculous and making us looking like some sua-gu in our own backyard! Special THANKS to Mestre Pintor, Graduado Rapfael, Instructor Grao, Professor Margo, Contra-Mestre Silvio, and all Capoeiristas for being part of this very very special event.
*Clap hands*~~~~~~ waiting for next year...
Obrigado Capoeiristas! (:

Parissss

I always get friends telling me every now and then, how they would love to travel to the likes of Paris, London, Barcelona, Rome, Blah blah blah. I'm not surprise as these are cities not only with great history, cultures and food but many others ranging from its nightlife to castles.

Since I just got my laptop back after a gazillion years, I thought I might as well post some pictures from my recent trip around some of Europe finest cities.

Let's begin...

Eiffel Tower, Paris

The icon of Paris, and a century ago, they even have the thought of demolising it. By sheer luck, it was never demolish or the whole Parisians will burn the graves of those responsible for the fall of Eiffel.

Sacre Coeur, Paris

I get this view from my hostel where I stayed in the Montmartre area. Inside there, you feel a sense of holiness and God-like enlightenment that I almost thought I was part of all Gods if I had stayed in there any longer!

Chateau De Versailles
About 20km away lies one of the grandest palaces in the world. It's so grand that the word grand don't do any justice. It's not only enormous but expensive. With nearly 6000 paintings, 1500 drawings, 700 rooms and taking up 51000m^2 of floor space, it's like living on another small planet!!!!! No wonder, the whole of France was nearly bankrupt because of King Louis XIV. Walao, if I ever just bankrupt my family, my mum would disown me!! ):

Mont St Michel, Normandy

I took a lovely day trip out to Normandy, 4 hours train ride to see this UNESCO world heritage site, Mont Saint Michel. It has every bit of a castle feel with its clobbled streets in there, cemetery, a fantastic view top and now surrounded 3/4 by water. It used to be covered entirely on water, imagine those fairytale kind (: Of cos I miss out on the arc du triomphe, the latin quarter and Champ elysees )):

Louvre museum, Paris
Paintings, paintings more paintings and more more paintings!!! Mona Lisa is held here by the way and we cannot even get close to it. Maybe a person with high fever would activate its radiation system. (think National treasure).

Of cos, Paris is more than all this. With great food, number of strip clubs along montmartre area, musee d'orsay, latin quarter and champs Elysees.

(Next up, Lisbon...)

Khai: How do you explain when you were kissing the graffiti of a girl!!
Me: Because I look at girl, you guys screw me, I look at guys, you people think I'm gay, than what you want me to do!!!!!

About me

Hello everyone, this is my very first post, thus I shall introduce a little bit about myself. Firstly, my name is Cloud living and studying in Singapore. An avid trekker and a traveller by blood. I live by many mottos in life and so far, I am contented that everything in life has gone on pretty smoothly for me.

I am holding onto 2 diplomas, one of them in Biomedical Electronics and the other in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality management. Apart from studies, I got a 2-star kayaking certificate, an open water diver, an avid trekker, and a traveller by blood.

While not travelling, I practice the art of Capoeira and chilling out with friends over the weekends and playing with my camera.
